GENESSEE, LAPEER, SHIAWASSEE COUNTIES –Wendy's Restaurants is partnering with the Tall Pine Council, Boy Scouts of America for a sweet fundraiser. For just $1, customers at participating Wendy’s restaurants can purchase an all-access pass to 12 months of Jr. Frosty's while supporting the Tall Pine Council – Boy Scouts of America.
Between now and March 31st, 2011, customers can buy a $1 Frosty key tag at participating Wendy’s throughout the mid-Michigan area. By showing the key tag on subsequent visits to Wendy’s, customers will receive a free Jr. Frosty (with any purchase) as often as they wish through December 31, 2011.
Wendy’s will donate the net proceeds of key tag sales to local Boy and Girl Scout organizations in the mid-Michigan area including the Tall Pine Council. The Council will use the donation to provide camp scholarships for at-risk youth.
“We strive to keep Dave Thomas’ ideas and beliefs at the heart of the Wendy’s culture,” said Nancy Crawford, Field Marketing Manager for Wendy’s International, Inc. “One thing that Dave believed was that everyone has a responsibility to give something back, to help those who can’t help themselves. This key tag fund-raiser is one way of giving back to the community where we live and work.”
“We are so thankful for Wendy’s generosity,” said Michael L. Chaffee, Scout Executive and CEO. “Community partners like Wendy’s help us to fulfill our mission of preparing youth to make ethical choices throughout their lifetime.” The list of participating Wendy's restaurants in our area is as follows:
