All members of a hunting
or fishing party who are Friends of Scouting (FOS)
members (minimum $200.00 donation – must
be paid in full prior to hunting) may hunt/fish
on Camp Tapico property.
All hunts must be pre-registered
at the Camp Tapico Office a minimum of two (2)
weeks prior to the hunt. The number of hunters
in your party and their names need to be included

each hunter must register his/her buck tag and
they will be assigned a camp permit and hunting
area. Each hunter is responsible for staying in
his/her own assigned area. If you wish to change
your assigned area, the Camp Ranger must be notified.
Violations of this rule will result in the permanent
revoking of your hunting privileges at Camp Tapico.
All hunters must fill out a “Hold Harmless”
agreement.

Unit camping during firearms deer season from
November 15th thru November 30th.

Attention all Packs, Troops & Crews - Want
to do some service for Camp?
There are numerous projects
both big and small at Holaka and Tapico that can
be done by Scouts and Scouters, young and old! However,
there is also a process to approve all projects
before you start.
Download the project approval
form from the “Camps” tab on the left
hand side of the Tall Pine Council website homepage
(www.tpcbsa.org). Fill it out and submit a copy
to the Scout Service Center (keep a copy for yourself).
It will then be reviewed by the properties committee
which meets on the first Thursday of each month.
If approved, bring your copy with you for the Rangers
to sign off on when the project is done.
This process will help us keep
track of the materials and labor done at our camps,
and make sure that volunteer efforts are in line
with the long-term strategic plan for Council Camp
Properties.
What can we do, you ask? Take
pride in your Council Camps, and live the Scout
Oath and Law! Contact the Camp Rangers for ideas
of projects that may be suitable for your Scouting
unit. There are many projects that will always be
needed: Painting, campsite clean-up, roofing, trail
maintenance, waterfront clean-up, dock repair, sign
painting & maintenance, construction projects,
demolition, mechanical work and more.
Do you have ideas and suggestions
for the maintenance and improvement of our camps?
Let us know, we want to hear from you.
Refund and Transfer Policy
A written request
with a brief explanation for the cancellation
must be sent to the Tall Pine Council Service
Center. The request should be received by the
Service Center at least 3 weeks prior to the camp,
activity, or event start date. A 10 percent (minimum
$5.00) administration fee will be withheld from
the refund. Refund requests received after the
camp, activity, or event will be denied (extentuating
circumstances may be the only exception). Transferring
fees from one person to another is permissible
before the event. The Tall Pine Council should
be notified in writing of all transfers. This
cancellation / refund policy was effective January
1, 1998, and supercedes any prior cancellation
/ refund policy of the Tall Pine Council, BSA.

Camperships are available

their own.Click
