Advancement Procedures:
Boy Scout - Star Seminar Attendance Procedure

AS IN SOME OTHER COUNCILS, THE TALL PINE COUNCIL DISTRIBUTES MATERIALS FROM BSA HEADQUARTERS NECESSARY FOR THE SCOUT'S WORK ON THE EAGLE RANK AT OUR STAR SEMINARS. WE PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR SCOUTS, PARENTS, AND A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE TROOP TO ASK QUESTIONS, THUS ASSURING THEY HAVE CURRENT INFORMATION. ATTENDANCE AT ONE OF THESE SEMINARS IS VERY IMPORTANT BECAUSE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE EAGLE RANK CHANGE.

THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE WILL BE USED TO ATTEND THE STAR SEMINARS.

SCOUT:

COUNCIL OFFICE:

SCOUT:
1. The Scout notes the months Star Seminars are held and discusses with his parents the seminar they wish to attend.

2. The Scout calls the Council Office and registers for the Star Seminar he wishes to attend. He notes the place and time of the seminar.

2. The Council Office prepares a Star Seminar Packet for each registered Scout. Parents and a Troop representatives will not receive a packet.

3. The instructor gives each Scout attending a "proof of attendance" form.

4. The instructor ensures that all the materials to be handed out are current and present.

SCOUT:
